THE WOMAN BEHIND THE VISION
BREA WALTON
CEO of Black Girls with Passports, Inc.
Brea Walton started Black Girls with Passports with the drive to mentor, explore, and share travel experiences with likeminded young women. Her vision began in 2015 during her study abroad program in Geneva, Switzerland. Brea quickly noticed she was the only African-American female student in the room and wanted to make a change. Brea dreamed of sharing her experiences with other young women to show them the importance of exploring other countries and embracing the difference in each culture. Shortly after graduating from Spelman College with her Bachelor's Degree in International Studies, she went off to finish her Master's Degree at American University in International Peace and Conflict Resolution. By day, Brea works at a federal agency in the Washington D.C. metro area. She also works tirelessly to achieve the goals and vision of Black Girls with Passports.
