THE PERKS
The Benefits of Participating in the Wander Woman Study Abroad Program:
- Exposure to jobs/opportunities in International Affairs - The Wander Woman Study Abroad Program exposes our students to various job opportunities in the field of international studies. Each participant will have the opportunity to chat with black women in diplomacy, think-tanks, non-governmental organization (NGOs), and other careers in the international affairs field.
- Completion of community service hours - The Wander Woman Study Abroad Program requires each student to complete 60 hours of community service once accepted in the Wander Woman Program. With guidance from BGP, students are responsible for creating their own community service plan to implement in designated countries.
- Lasting educational experience - Traveling is a hands-on approach to learning. Instead of reading about other countries, states, and cities in a classroom, we work to bring those experiences to life!
- Enhanced team working skills - Students at BGP will work alongside one another to complete learning exercises and community service projects. At the end of our program, we can ensure that each student will gain better team working skills and strategies.
